"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: i am counting on you

Dear
I do not know to what extent you are familiar with events and fragile political situation in my country Liberia , though it has formed consistent headlines in the CNN and BBC news bulletins.
I am 24year old Miss Maria Maciver Dunbar, from the Republic of Liberia;and the daugther of Late Mr. Jenkins Dunbar, who untill his death was the Minister of Lands, Mines and Energy. My Father was killed by evil President Charles Taylor, but he denyed it.
The main reason I am contacting you now is to seek your assistance in the area of my future investment and also for a helping hand over some amount of money my Late father deposited for me as the beneficiary.
This money is Eight Millon Five Hundred Thousand Dollars and he deposited it for me in Europe some years ago,
I am in Dakar, Senegal , to search for a foreign partner to help me retrieve the money and also help me and my little sister relocate to your country if possible.
I have contacted the bankers but they don't want to realease the fund due to my refugee status, instead they insist that i should present somebody or a company to stand on my behalf before any transaction can be made.
I am now asking you to please use your position and help me by standing on my behalf to make this claim and also to stand as my partner oversea and in time of the investment as well if you want to.
Please if you are willing to assist me,let me know.
Thank you
yours sincerely
Maria
