"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

This Email is for your kind attention:

With a warm heart I offer my friendship, and my greetings, and I hope this email letter meets you in good time. It will be surprising for you to receive this email message from me since you do not know me personally.

I have decided to contact you believing that you would be able to assist me in a project that would be of mutual benefit to both of us on the long run. I am one of the Top officials of the South African Department of Minerals and Energy contract award and appraisal committee.

A certain contract was done by one of the Polish Expatriate contractors in South Africa ( Now Defunct). And as my office is involved in the approval and payment of accomplished contracts, I used my office to over-invoice the payment thereby leaving a very huge amount in United States of American Currency.

My request at this point in time is that if we can come into terms and I receive a cooperative reply / response from you, I would then give you comprehensive details of this project, amount involved, what would be your part after completing the project and your compensation and most importantly your role in the issue.

I would be highly obliged to read from you so that I can give you full identification of myself and my contact details. To enable me proceed, kindly confirm your direct telephone and fax number as an indication that you would be ready to get the full details.

Please Note that I have decided to withhold the full details of this project because of my office and also to make sure that I would be dealing with the right person.

Finally, I would like you to send your reply / response to my alternate email address which is : jacksonkh@sify.com

Thanks,
Yours Truly,
Mr. Jackson Khumalo
