"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

NATIONAL ONLINE FIDUCIARY/CLAIMS PROCESS DEPARTMENT

Dear Reginhard Roth

I am your fiduciary agent, to finish your claims process there will be procurement/legal proceedings with the law firm in charge to assist you with the final clearance and transfer modalities. It is been over a month we sent you a notification and you write a month later to say you paid money to someone, we are not aware of this; as this is the second email we have ever written you since your first notified to claim your prize winnings on the 15th of MAY 2007. Please check correctly.

The Lottery Board has paid all insurance on the prize claims, so you definitely do not pay for your winnings, only Tax when the funds have been transfer and received by you in your country. All that is required from you is procurement/legal proceeding before transfer modalities. The procurement will be detailed to you when you contact the attorney. Madam, we ask that you be carefully who writes you regarding your claims, as we have not taken nothing from you regarding this claim, so if you have paid money to some else on this issue, we can make a fast report to the local investigating authority on Lottery proceeds on your behalf.

I know this may bring distrust and I know you might be quite skeptical about this whole process right now, but I guarantee you that we can bring this reality to a logical conclusion, if you allow me help in this issue. How much was taken from you by this said person and what is the information that made you pay money to this person or group of persons? We need detailed information on this matter you have spoken about, to assist, as we have been trying to track down these persons for two years now.

Please another number is included for you to try and call. You have been earlier given a password please do not respond to any correspondence or call with out the password. Always inquire for your password; this is part of security measures, to help us transfer your prize winnings in one piece without any problems. Do follow the instructions carefully. I also inform you that without any information about you we can not process your prize claims. Do provide a valid phone number that you can be reached at for easy correspondence.

Your prompt response is required in this issue upon receipt of this email.

Regards,

WALTER NEWMAN
FIDUCIARY AGENT (NATIONAL ONLINE SWEEP LOTTERY)
