"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Dear Good Friend,
This is a great thing that can ever happen to us I am happy that everything is okay now and also to inform you about our success in transferring the funds through the assistance of a new partner.
I am at present in Austria with my family for final settlement and investment of my own share. Meanwhile, I deem it fit to at least for your effort in the past and attempts to assist my partners and I in transferring these funds despite that it failed, then but now we succeeded, after settling all the parties involved I demanded that I have your contact so that you can have some money sent to you to enable you settle some of your expenses.
For this I issued on your name an international bank draft through my account officer in financial bank plc, Port Novo, Republic Due Benin.
I want you to contact him immediately and arrange for the release of your draft either by courier or to arrange for the draft to be converted to cash and he would arrange on how the money will gets to you, he helped me in facilitating mine. Contact him with your full name, address, phone and fax number confirming to him that I have communicated you and ask him to send you the certified bank draft with a face value of $830, 000.00, which I kept with him as your own share for your past efforts.
