"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

My name is Edward Annan from Ghana in West Africa and my purpose of

writing is to seek your immediate assistance in completing an urgent

consignment delivery which I shipped to your country in the name of

Mr.John Missus who is my late father's my business partner. This

consignment has been in your country with the delivery company since

five months ago because on getting there they could not locate the

rightful recipient which my late father;s partner after investigation

they discorverd that my father'r partner is late. So in other not to

loose this shipment or pay excess demurrage, I ask you to contact the

storage manager so that he can give you details of consignment for you

to clear it and you receive the consignment as the new recipient on my

behalf as soon as you can.

I wish to inform you that the consignment is containing USD$10 Million

and African antiquities about 20kg alone, and I do not intend to return

it back to Ghana in other not to pay extra cost in reshipment.

Your benefit from this business will be considerable as it will be

discussed along during the transaction, and your consistent partnership

might attract you a more valuable transaction in time to come here

after i might have come over to stay with you in your country to

further my education.I would also want you to help me invest wisely my

own part of this funds.
