Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

You have not been responding positively as management is getting discourage in assisting with your processing of claim. Kindly keep in touch as soon as possible if you are still interested to lay claim to your lottery winning prize as we just received a notification letter from the International Award Department this morning requesting us to send the claim report of all lucky winners to them, That the closing date for filling claim is on the 5th of July 2007 as they expect we must have been rounding up by now. We thus send you this notification as We have not concluded with your processing of claim and do not also understand your position and intention as regards your request
