"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: INVESTMENT WAITING FOR YOU.

Dear,

I am pleased to get across to you for a very urgent and profitable business proposal, though I don't know you neither have I seen you before but it takes a day to know of a trustworthy person which is the reason of my contacting you for this business opportunity which I want to share with you.

The intended business is thus; we had a customer, a Foreigner who was involved in Kenya plane crash, Boeing 737-800. Killing all 114 people on board, and you can view the site for more details:

(http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/africa/6627485.stm) He was a big time Contractor here in Cote d’Ivoire Abidjan with the government Cote d’Ivoire. He reconstructed the Presidential villa that was destroyed during the Civil war here, which lasted over 6 years so every big contract must come to his office first before he can sublet to other companies.

Actually at times the government of Cote d’Ivoire pay him for contract he executed with Raw GOLD and Diamond, which greatly made the businessman so rich and famous here in Abidjan. However, he made a deposit of one silver trunk box in our company some time in the year 2000 so after some months, he and his beloved wife died on the Kenya plane crash. Unfortunately, the man alongside with his wife died six years ago, and until today none of his next of kin has come forward to claim the Consignment from our firm. Having noticed this, I in collaboration with two other of my colleagues has been monitoring the consignment and now has decided to make a deal with any interested candidate who can be able to come here to our Office to present him self to our company as the relative to the deceased. I shall forward the certificate of deposit and agreement bond in which the deposit was made and also I shall give you his death certificate to attest to your claim.

However, if you can not come to Abidjan to make the claim of the consignment, after positioning you as the next of kin to the depositor, you can then arrange with our company for diplomatic delivery of the consignment to your address but, you must not let any know about this because, I am suspecting that the consignment may contain Raw GOLD or Cash value in the trunk as he has confided in me several time in the past before his death.

Now we want you (being a foreigner) to be fronted as one of his next of kin and forward your full address, your telephone, mobile and fax number. The whole procedures will last only ten working days for successfully retrieved of the consignment for your possible coming over for the claiming or delivery to your address.

Your response is only what we are waiting for as we have arranged all necessary things. As soon as this message comes to you kindly get back to me indicating your interest to my alternative email

 wilgeorge10000@caramail.com

For your assistance we have agreed to give you thirty percent (40%) of proceedings of the consignment while we shall have 50% and then 10% shall be mapped out for any expenses that may come up in this. With your maximum co-operation, this transaction is not expected to last for more than 10 working days.

I await your earliest response.

Thanks,

Yours Sincerely,

Williams George
