"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Dear Mr Valdemarr Wechshagen,

The above subject refers.
In response to your last email as regards your inability to come over to our Disbursements Centre here in England,I would like to inform you that your winnings have been prepared as a cheque which only you as the winner would be able to cash regardless of where you are located.

Hence We have contacted the UK National Lottery Advisory Board and The Internal Revenue Board on this matter and we have decided to send your winning package via a secured and efficient courier service in accordance with your request.

We have contacted our affiliate Courier Company CAMELOT COURIER SERVICE and have directed them to pick up your winning package which contains your cheque, winning certificate and security documents from the National Head Quaters on the ground that they have been Our Registered Affiliates for two decades now and we cannot do otherwise.

Do note, that sequel to UK Lottery Acts 249(n) of 1972 ammended in July, 1996 to ensure the actual winning prize get to Winners, the Courier charges cannot be deducted from your winning claims because your winning claim is bonded by a hard cover insurance policy that gives only the winner access to the prize money.

Hence you will be responsible for all costs incurred in forwarding your winning package to you.The cost of delivery might be on the high side because of the necessary insurance which must be taken on your parcel before it can leave the UK for your designated address.

Please forward your Name and Ticket number to The Client Services Manager, CAMELOT COURIER SERVICE and he will get to you as soon as your winning package is ready for delivery.
