"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: MY BELOVED FRIEND

MY BELOVED FRIEND,
My Dear friend, I want you to know that sharing my personal problems with people is something that I have never enjoyed doing, but situations I cannot control has forced me to doing so. I am Mrs. Susan Hillyard, I am suffering from cancerous ailment. I am married to Mr. Scott Hillyard an Englishman who is dead. My husband was into private practice all his life before his death. Our life together as man and wife lasted for three decades without child. My husband died after a protracted illness. Although not a very interest description of myself.
My husband and I made a vow to uplift the downtrodden and the less-privileged individuals as he had passion for persons who cannot help themselves due to physical disability or financial predicament. I can adduce this to the fact that he needed a Child from this relationship, which never came.
It will appear obscene that I am going to die in a short period which is in accordance to what my doctor told me. But what bothers me now is that my husband had deposited before he died a sum of Twenty Million Pounds (20,000,000.00 GBP) which was his total life savings from his investment in capital market, this money was to be used to raise a charity foundation, which didn't work out because of his death and my present condition.
I have decided to hand over this money (20,000,000.00 GBP) to you only on a condition, which is that me and my husband's wishes will be brought alive. I want you to help the downtrodden and the less-privileged people with it by raising a charity foundation, although I won't be alive to see it, I want the charity foundation in me and husband's name (Scott & Susan Hillyard Charity Foundation). I made this decision because I have a short period to live and I have no other persons to turn to.
Please contact my lawyer with this specified details: Barrister Nicolas MillerEmail:barristernicolasuk@yahoo.co.uk
Tell him that I have decided to will the sum to you and the reason for doing this is best known to me. and that he should start preparing the necessary documents to enable transfer of funds to you. Also let his know that I will pay him for his services.
You were recommended to me as a trust worthy person by a very good friend who work in the chambers of commerce this is were all businesses and individual contact are kept.I delibrately refused to ask this favour from any friend or relative because I know they will misuse the funds and at the end of the day my wish will never be fulfilled. And again due to my illness I will no be able to always attend to you, so please fill free to say anything you want to say to my lawyer.
Your Sister Susan Hillyard.
