"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Dear Sir ,
How are you today , hope fine .
Sir i Michael Odogu , the first son of Kwame Odogu the founder of the popular gold mine called ashanti gold company intl , sir the reason why i am contacting you is that with the help of God i have been able to transfer my consignment of $9.5 million out of africa into your country , but sir just two days ago i was contacted by the diplomat who was to deliver the consignment to my beneficiary called and told me that he can not deliver to that beneficiary due to the fact that he is now on the run from the police for illegal possesion of hard drugs . so now the diplomat told me that i should look for a new beneficiary whom he can deliver to other wise he would return the consignment back to africa , which i dont want to happen .
I got your contact from the office of the Ghana ministry of commerce and i was told that you are a trust worthy person who can help me out , thus i am contacting you today , sir if you are interested in helping me i would want to know via your reply .
Hope to hear from you soon .
Regards ,
Odon Mic .
