"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: PERSONALLY ADDRESS TO YOU

Dear Sir/Madam

I presum this letter will come to you as a surprise but as things unfold, we will know each better and how i got your contact. I will start by introducing myself to you. I am Mr. Schabir Owoniki from the Southern Part of Nigeria

In short to be sincere and honest with you, the present situation of things now in my home since the release of Alhaj Mujahi' Dokubo Asari looks sad following the investigation of the youths loyal to the Militant Leader to know who informed the Federal Government the military strength of Niger Delta People's Volunteer Force (NDPVF).

I am seeking for your understanding towards my present situation to safe the future of my kids. I have in my care the sum of Five Million, Five Hundred Thousand United States Dollars (USD$5.5Million) given to me by the Oil companies on my review to them on their kidnapped staffs where about.

My fear of seeking for an international help is the release of the Niger Delta People's Volunteer Force (NDPVF) Leader (Alhaj Mujahi' Dokubo Asari) who had threaten to deal with me for exposing his military strength to the Federal Government in order to end the kidnapping, the unrest and the insecurity of the expatriates in the Oil regions.

His words of threat to me came following President Umaru Musa Yar'adua speech which he vowed to deal with the Niger Delta problem, which includes militant attacks on oil workers and oil installations directly not through Militants and Political activists who claim to be standing/speaking the voices of the Niger Delta's voiceless, marginalized and poverty-stricken residents who have been denied development, despite coping with environmental problems caused by oil exploration and mining in their area.

On getting your words if you could help me have security in your country, then I will let you know the next step of action towards my present situation.

Thanks and God bless your family.

Yours Sincerely,
Mr Schabir Owoniki,
