"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Dear Mr Loring Ehrlichstein,

Thank you for taking out time to reply my message, I may not know about other messages you have received, but kindly be assured that as regards your reply and the proposals which I sent to you, this is the right person.

I wish to place you in a position to instruct the private banking firm to release the deposit to you, I will also send to the bank all the required documents as would be required by the bank when necessary, so basically all you need do, is to contact the financial institution and request the claims of the funds. They would tell you their basic procedures of claims, upon which fulfillment the funds would be released to you.

But most importantly, you must know that due to the present predicament, I am under very tight surveillance and as such, contacting me via any other mode of communication (i.e. phone fax or telegram) is completely ruled out, as this would be too risky for my family.

I will be sending to you, the contact information of the financial institution you are to contact, the amount deposited, other details and documents to enable you successfully transfer this funds immediately, I am sure you are in full understanding so far.

I must beg for your trust and commitment, for which I am willing to reward you with an agreed percentage.

I am a woman just doing her best to help her family and the man she loves.

You would kindly send to me the following details: for the immediate commencement of the processing of the necessary paper work and also
for immediate forwarding to the bank so that they would acknowledge your correspondence when you do contact them.

Finally be assured that any information provided me now would be kept highly confidential.
