"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

My dear friend,

Only recently, I was diagnosed as having a minor tendency to be a person with low self-esteem, which is likely to be caused by a traumatic relationship a while ago. Therefore I just ask that you are genuine in all your affairs with myself.

Based on our last emails, you know that I have resolved to proceed with your fine plan. All that is necessary now is please supply some proper proof of the mechanism of your lovely plan.

Also I have been contemplating: what about EU money movement restrictions? Do they affect me?

Of course I will transmit my identification documents, as you ask.

I wish for and await a gracious response from you.

Best regards,

Ms Marlene Wann

By the way I tried to call the phone number you gave but it kept failing. Sorry.
