Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

KINDLY ALOW ME THE MODESTY OF INTRODUCING MYSELF. I GOT YOUR ESTEEMED CONTACT/E-MAIL ADDRESS THROUGH RELIABLE SURCE THE EXPORT PROMOTION COUNCIL OF THE GHANA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY VIA WEBSITE.
Dear Friend, I am Mr.Daniel Kofi, A Banker with International Commercial Bank of Ghana, I have urgent and very confidential business proposition for you.
July 21st. 2003, an American Oil Consultant/Contractor with the National petroleum and Gas company Ltd Ghana, Mr Manfred Gregory Marschall, made a numbered time (Fixed) Deposit for twelve calendar months. Valued at US$25,500,000.00 (Twenty-Five Million, Five Hundred Thousand United States Dollars only) in my branch, upon maturity I sent a routine notification to his forwarding address but got no reply.
After a month, we sent a reminder and finally we discovered from his contract employers the National Oil Ghana LTD that Mr. Manfred Mgregory Marschall died on July 21st. 2003,In Plane crash, Involving Kenya Airways.
On further investigation, I found out that he died without making "WILL", and Mr. Robert Martins did not declare any kin or relations in all his official documents, including his Bank Deposit paperwork in my Bank.all attempts to trace his next of kin was fruitless.
This sum of US$25,500,000.00 only, is still sitting in my Bank and the interest is being rolled over with the principal sum at the end of each year. No one will ever come forward to claim it.
According to Ghana Law, at the expiration of 5 (Five) years, the money will revert to the ownership of the Ghana Government if nobody applies to claim the fund.
Consequently, my proposal is that I will like you to act as the next kin to Mr. Manfred Mgregory Marschall.
To do This is simple, I will send you sketch of claim application letter for you to send to our Bank, for transfer proccess to begin. A Bank Account in any part of the world, which you will provide will then facilitate the transfer of this money to you as the beneficiary/next of kin.
The money will be paid into your Account for us to share in the ratio of 60% for me and 30% for you while 10% is for expenses in the course of the transaction. There is no risk involved,and with my position as the Branch Manager guarantees the successful execution of this transaction.
