"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Dearest one,

Dearest one,

Thank you for the telephone call and your tender attentions to my letter. I believe this letter of mine will reach you in good fate and health.
My name is Martin Koroma Junior. And I am writing you alongside my little sister Susan Elizabeth Koroma. We are the only surviving children of my late parents. Chief Williams
Koroma and our mother Mrs Theresa koroma from the village of Konor in Sierra leone West Africa.
Our History is very lengthy, and I do wish to make it brief to you. I know you must be aware of the ongoing Election in my country that took place yesterday the 11th of august 2007, this was the major reason why I and my only sister left sierra leone and exile to Abidjan .

My father was a politician and one of the presidential aspirant for this gone election in sierra leone . He was also a Diamond merchant. He and my mother were assassinated 2 years ago in Freetown by the Tijan Kabar Government because they knew he was to win this gone election in sierra leone .

The reason of contacting you is for you to help me to claim a very huge sum of money which is amounted to Nine million united states dollars, deposited in a strong security vaults in Abidjan Cote d'ivoire, deposited by my father as family valuables and treasure, and my name is enlisted on the certficate as the next of kin to claim this Safe Box from the security company in case of any sudden death occurence on my father.

I have contacted the security company here in abidjan, and they confirmed the references I gave to them in relation to the deposited Safe Box with registration code number: NVK/014803/F2/2004. Which my father kept with them for safe keeping and they told me it is still in there custody and would be released to me whenever i come forward.
I need to claim this Safe Box . But I do not know how to go along with it alone. I do not have any personality here in cote d’ivoire whom I can trust to help me. Only you my heart keep telling me to ask you for your help and cooperation.

My intention is to use well this money in a very good business in Niger or Nigeria . I intend to invest 40% of the total sum in a very good business under your advise and guardian, 20% is for you personally for all your assistance for us, 10% I have decided will be spent on the orphanage homes, 5% will be for settling all expenses relating to travelling expenses, housing and other relevants costs. The rest 25% will be splitted in two and deposited in two Bank account one on my name and the other on my sisters name.
We cannot stay long here in cote d'ivoire as my late father associates are trailing on us to hand over the money to them or they kill us. This is the reason why we flew from sierra leone to exile in cote d’ivoire .

I know how difficult it will be for you to believe me, but truelly whatever I am telling you now is complete truth. And I am willing to share and to prove my cleaness before you.
I have the desire to present you as our guardian to the security company since you are from niger and the name my father used as beneficiary when he deposited the Safe Box in the security company was his friend from the Bare Mannasare family in niger, i have tried to find him but all the efforts i made was abortive, that was why i decided to contact you so it can be easier to present you as the beneficiary and i will arrange for the change of beneficiary name to be your name. I will claim that the earlier beneficiary is deceased and you are his brother, i will prepare an court affidavit for this change of name to your name.
I want you to arrange an immediate meeting with me, either we meet here in abidjan or we meet in ghana so we can discuss closely and make every confirmation on how to claim the Safe Box from the security company.

Finally, I want to re-assure you that this transaction is risk-free. I promise to keep to my words and to every agreement I will sign with you, and I hope to receive the same confidence and loyalty from you Mr Kamaye.
Thank you dearly for your brotherly patience and attention. May God bless you, and bless our acquaintance. Please call me as i wait to hear from you.
Sincerely yours,
Martin/Susan E. Koroma.
