"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: FROM MRS VERONICA WILLIAMS

ALERT SECURITY AND FINANCE COMPANY LTD.
Crareinchwood 4580. 1930, South Africa. http://www.alerts-security.com/alt/Empowerment.htm
VERY CONFIDENTAIL TRANSACTION

Attn: Sir/Madam, Thank you for an anticipated urgent response. I am Mrs. Veronica Williams, the Branch Manager of the above-mentioned Security Company. Honestly, I was beginning to get worried. Well, we do not really have much time to waste. Let me start by telling you the genesis of my contacting you
I am a manager to a private security company here in Johannesburg. There was a consignment deposit with this office, which has lasted for ten years in our custody without claims. I deliberately ordered my assistant to break the consignment and confirm the content and we then ascertained that it contained raw cash in United States Dollars. There was a note written therein the box, which stated that the content amount for the two boxes deposited by the same depositor was US$49,450,000 (Forty Nine Million Four Hundred and Fifty Thousand Dollar).
I then took the decision to conduct a search for the person who deposited this consignment and found out that the owner has died with his family members in a car crash in Kenya long time ago.
The problem right now is that I cannot release the consignment to anyone without going through the proper processes. I will have to present someone’s information to my directors and company owners, who even do not know the content of the consignment. I will inform them that the owner of the consignment has ordered that the consignment be released to you if you agree to represent the next of kin to the depositor of this consignment. I have every document to cover you on this claim. Once the consignment is released, I will make an arrangement with a Bank manager where the content would be lodged before onward remittance to your bank account in your country. We will share the content fund 35% for you, 35% for me and the rest 30% for my Personal Assistant whom you will see upon arrival. There is no risk involve in this transaction, as I will give you a professional attorney whom you will arrive with him to my office for the claims. I therefore took the decision to snap a picture into the consignment, relock the consignment and kept it back. Check the attachment and understand with me and get back to me urgently.
So, if you are capable of handling this project, then respond to me urgently.

This is important if we must protect this transaction and make this transaction a success by keeping it confidential. Send me your telephone and fax numbers so that I can contact you in time. I expect your response urgently.
My Email.Address is verowilliams@aol.com

Best Regard.

Mrs. Veronica Williams
