"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

I wish to inform you that this is no child's play and I have prayed very well before I decided to contact you for this matter, and I am believing the Almighty God that you will not betray the confidence I am about to establish in you. Please I will like you to give me your telephone and fax number, the time difference in your country and here Cote d' Ivoire so that I will know the apropriate time to call you.

As I told you in my first email that this money is contained inside an iron trunk box and was deposited by my late father before his untimely death. He deposited this box on his name and declared it as belongings of his foreign business associate. Also he declared this trunk box as Family Valuables and not as money before the security company. All these was done for the total security of this fund as there was political crisis which made the banks not working then and as regards to the fact Foreigners are highly respected here in Africa. This trunk box have been safe in the custody of the Security Company.

I have visited the Company where this box is deposited and they have told me to present to them all the details of my father's Foreign business Associate so that they will transfer the whole documents of this deposit to his name and then proceed towards the releasing of the box to you. The Company have insisted on this because of the instruction placed by my father before his death on the day he deposited this consignment.

At this time, I want you to represent my late father's Foreign business Associate so that the Security Company will transfer the total Ownership of the consignment to your name and favour, then release this box on your behalf. Based on this, I will want to know when you are coming down here in Abidjan so that you and I can go together to the security company for the release of this consignment also go to the bank for the transfer of this money into your account before our departure to your country for the investment of the money.

Remember that I have choosen you not only as a business partner also as my guidian and I will like you to contact me immediately with all your details including your full name, address etc so that I can forward them to the Security Company immediately, and give you more instruction on how to contact them for more details concerning the release of this consignment to you. As soon as I hear from you, I will give you the full contact of the Company here in Abidjan so that you can contact them directly. All my confidence to live successfully in your country is fully depending on you.

I have no good knowledge of investment feild so I will like to go into the investment you will recomend, I believe that you will help me clear this box from the Security Company and also transfer this money into your account for my near future. May God bless you abundantly for your sincerity in this matter. Feel Free to call me on my telephone number below upon your receipt of this email.
