"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

MY INTRODUCTIONFrom Mr.David Olds Email: mr.avidolds@yahoo.fr(66)898247854 Dear Friend, Before you proceed reading my mail please do gothrough this webpage for more detailshttp://www.rte.ie/news/2000/0418/zimbabwe.html You may be surprised to receive this message from mesince you don't know me in person, but for the purposeof introduction, I am MR.DAVID OLDS, a citizen ofZimbabwe, the son of late MR.MARTIN OLDS(A Farmer )whowas murdered in a land dispute in ZIMBABWE. I got your contact through the Thailand InformationExchange Online, and then I decided to write you. Mylate father was among the few black Zimbabwean richfarmers murdered in cold blood by the agent of theruling government of President ROBERT MUGABE for hisalleged support and sympathy for Zimbabwean oppositionparty. Before the death of my father, he deposited the sum ofFive Million US Dollars ($5M) with a security companyduring when he went to Thailand to purchase his farmmachinery equipment, as if he foresaw the loomingdanger in Zimbabwe. The money was deposited as a gem /precious stone to avoid seize and much demurrage fromthe security organization. This money was earmarked for the purchase of newmachinery and chemicals for the farms and theestablishment of new farms in Lesotho and Swaziland. This land problem arose when President R. MUGABEintroduced a new land Act, which wholly affects thewhite rich farmers and some few blacks vehementlycondemned the 'MODUS OPERANDI' adopted by thegovernment. This resulted to rampant killing and mob actions. Iand my family who are currently staying in BangkokThailand as a refugee asylum seeker, have decided totransfer this money to a foreign country where we caninvest it. You will read more stories about PresidentMugabe's brutal acts by visiting. This website:http://www.rte.ie/news/2000/0418/zimbabwe.html I am faced with the dilemma of investing this amountof money in Thailand but the financial law andRegulations of the Republic of Bangkok,Thailand do notpermit us financial rights to such huge sum of money. In view of this, I cannot invest the fund in Bangkok,Thailand. Moreover, the Thailand monetary policy/lawdoes not allow such investment by an asylum seeker orrefugee. I must let you know that this transaction is 100% riskfree and the nature of your business does notnecessarily matter. So if you are willing to assistus, I and my family have agreed to give you 20% of thetotal money, 40% will be for a joint business ventureI will be doing with you and another 40% will be forthe family, which we shall also invest in yourcountry. Therefore, if you are willing and interestedto render the needed assistance, endeavor to contactme through the above telephone or email address. Ialso need your private telephone and fax numbers forquick communication. Please Remember that this transaction is highlyconfidential. Expect your reply soonest. Best regards. MR.DAVID OLDS.For the family.
