"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: CHANLDER GET BACK TO ME URGENTLY

From the Desk of
Mr Williams Babangida
Abbey Bank London,
Uk 2 Triton Square,
Regent's Place,
London, Nw13an,
London, London,
United Kingdom.

Dear Chandler,

Let me start by introducing myself. I am Mr Williams Babangida, director of operation Abbey Bank London, Uk.I have an urgent business suggestion.
Before the U.S and Iraqi war, our customer FADI CHANDLER who was a
business man, a cocoa merchant made a numbered fixed deposit for 12 calendar months, in the value of Nine million five hundred thousand United State Dollars in my bank branch. Upon maturity, several notices were sent to him. Another notification was sent to him early this year, yet no response came from him. We later found out that our customer and his family had been killed by a bomb blast that hit their Baghdad
home in Iraq.
After further investigations it was also discovered that this our customer declared his only daughter as the next of kin in his official papers including the paper of his bank deposit, but unfortunately his daughter was among the family members hit by the Bomb planted by insurgents in their Baghdad home. However, he confided in me the last time he was at my office that no one except me knew of his deposit in my
bank.
As you see, the Nine million five hundred thousand United States Dollars is still lying in the bank and no one will ever come forward to claim it. What bothers me most is that according to the banking rules and regulations, at the expiration of 3 years the funds will be confiscated and declared unserviceable. As well transferred to the banks treasury as unclaimed if nobody applies to claim the funds.
Against this backdrop, I seek your consent to present you as the next of kin of the deceased since you have the same last name as him, so that the proceeds of this account valued at Nine million five hundred thousand United States Dollars can be paid to you as his next of kin, then you and I can share the money, on the ratio of 60% for me, and 40%for you.

WHAT IS TO BE DONE:

I want you to know that I have had planned for the successful and immediate execution of this. I have contacted an attorney that will obtain the necessary documents that will back you as the next of kin to our customer, all that is required from you at this stage is for you to provide me with your full name and address so that the attorney can commence his job, after you have been made the next of kin, the attorney will also file in for claims on your behalf and secure the necessary documents for the move of the funds to an account that will be provided by you

All I require is your honest co-operation to enable us see this business through. I guarantee that this will be executed under a legitimate arrangement that will protect us from any breach of the law. Please get in touch with me by my private email williams_baba101@yahoo.co.uk and also send to me your direct telephone contact to enable us discuss further about the details of this transaction.

Kind Regards
MR Williams Babangida
