"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: FINANCIAL BUSINESS PARTNERSHIP PROPOSAL IN YOUR COUNTRY.

Hello, This may come to you as a surprise, but give me the permission to introduce myself to you properly. I'm Mr Alsheriff Abubarkar from Muslim region of Liberia. I'm 24 years old and the first son of Abubarkar Omar, a Gold Dust Merchant during Charles Taylor's regime. My parent were killed by the rebels for possession of large quantities of Gold/Diamond in our house and and they took all away. When my father was trading on Gold Dust/Diamond at the begining of the war, he secretly deposited one box valued at $33 million US dollars and 10kg of gold dust in a security company in my name but my father declared the content as Family Treasures to avoid confiscation of these funds. No one have knowledge of the content of the box as money in the security company except you and I so that it won't be confiscated from me and that was the reason why my father concealed the content. The expected date of collection stated in the Certificate of Deposit with me has expired and that made the claim impossible for me, but I have the deposit Certificate of the consigment with me issued by the security company and the keys to the box. I went to claim the consignment with the Certificate from the said security company and I was told by the credit controler that, the expcted date of collection has expired, unless the demurrage insured is paid since the collection date expired which I don't have because of my present situation in the refugee camp and I can't contact anyone here to avoid people know of my where about and confiscation of the funds. I'm contacting you to claim this box(money) from security company in your name as my foreign beneficiary and as it was declared which I will guide you. I'm ready to offer you 20% of the funds for your services to stand as my foreign partner to claim the consignment. I have already taken refuge in a refugee camp here in Cotonou to avoid persecution back home as our accounts both foreign and local have been frozen and property confiscated by the present government in Liberia. My international passport and other personal credentials were burnt during the war and I'm Cotonou-Benin now, but I will obtain new passport when the consignement is claimed. There is nothing complicated about this transaction. Your are to secure the below three important things immediately you make the claim of the consignment from the security company and transferred to your account:1.To buy a mansion of my own in your country and what are the costs?2.To invest the balance in any good yielding profit business3.To gain admission for me into any recognise university in your country. You are to forward your full contact address and phone numbers for effective discussion to me. Every modality on how to invest this fund must be done by you. The Liberian government has no knowledge about this funds, including this country's government (Benin) where I have taken refuge, okay. Thanks,Al Sheriff AbubarkarReply to:alsh.abu1982@yahoo.fr
