"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Waiting For Your Reply.....Mark Gallatin

URGENT
Attn: Micheal Gallatin ,

I am Mr.Peter Nanka, I work with African Developement Bank Cotonou, Republic of Benin . I am the Personal Account Relation Officer to Mr.Mark Gallatin ,a national of your country, who was an International businessman based in Cotonou, Republic of Benin. In December 2002, my customer (Mark) made a One year fixed deposit of $6,500,000.00 (Six Million Five Hundred Thousand U.S Dollars). Upon maturity of the fund in December 2003, I sent a routine notification to his forwarded address but got no reply.I equally made several inquiries to your embassy to locate any of my customer's extended relations, but this also proved unsuccessful.
Later, based on the manifest at the airport, it was discovered that he (Mark) and his entire nuclear family were among the passengers that lost their lives on 25th December 2003, ill-fated plane crash involving a Boeing 727 UTA Chartered Flight that took off from Cotonou Benin Republic and crashed into Atlantic Ocean. Here is the website of the plane crash. http://www.cnn.com/2003/WORLD/africa/12/26/benin.crash/index.html
The accident claimed the lives of 111 people while only 20 occupants survived.Since then we have not had any body coming for the claims as the next of kin. A situation I have monitored closely with my position in the bank.
In view of this, I seek your concent to permit me present you before my bank as the next of kin so that this deposited $6.5 Million can be transfered to you since you have the same last name (surname) with him, and thereafter we will share it as stated herein (35% of the entire fund is for you as the next of kin; 60% is for me ,while 5% is set aside for expences that will be incurred in the course of this transaction.) Be informed that if this fund is not claimed before the last day of Dec.this year it will be reverted to the federation account as an overdue unclaimed deposit of a deceased depositor.(The new policy to all banks in my country is that any fixed deposit not claimed 4years after the date of its maturity will be reverted back to the federation account as an unclaimed deposit.)
If you can handle and sponsor this transaction with honesty, kindly get back to me as soon as possible with the followings :
1. Your full names and address
2. Your age and occupation
3. Your direct phone/fax numbers for easy communication
I guarantee that this transaction will be executed under a legitimate arrangement that will protect you from any breach of the law.Call me on this direct line
+234-805-043-3166 after replying this mail for further confirmation.
Your urgent responce will highly be appreciated.

Respectfully Yours,

Peter Nanka.
