"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Hello

Hello,
I am Barrister Solomon T. Barths, a former consultant of in-charge of the River State branch of the Late Mrs. Stella Obasanjo's CHILD CARE TRUST (CCT) a private, none profit, none governmental organisation formed to bring succour to the under privileged and challenged children in Africa.
I wish to inform you that your name and e-mail address which was extracted with other names from the internet came up in a random draw conducted by our law firm,it was according to the wish of my late philanthropic client.
My late client the Late Mrs. Stella Obasanjo, the late wife of the former president of the federal republic of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, in her effort to reach out to other challenged children in the world, before she travelled to Spain for the major surgery that claimed her life, she made an agreement in my chamber in the presence of her personal assistant Mr. Kunle Bolus and my associates, that in the course of her death $7.2m US Dollars out of her CCT. Foundation's liquid Capital which amount to $47.2m US dollars should be donated to any philanthropist of our choice over seas who is ready to do the good work of helping humanity.
I am particularly interested in securing this money from the Bank, because they have issued a notice instructing us to produce the beneficiary to this Will within two weeks or else the fund will be credited to the Government treasury as per law here. It is my utmost desire to execute the Will of our late client.
You are required to contact me immediately for further details. Congratulation. Regards,Solomon Barths.
