"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Attention!
I am Dr. Abubakar Lawal Yar'Adua,the newly appointed group managing director of Nigeria National Petroleum corporation (NNPC), by the government of the newly elected president of Nigeria, president Umaru Musa Yar'Adua. I came across your personal contact, through my personal research in the Nigeria Chambers of Commerce for a competent contractor.
I wish to inform you that the former president of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, in his second tenure on May 9th, 2004, had initiated a policy directing the former group managing director of the Nigeria National Petroleum corporation (NNPC), Mr.Funsho Kupolukon, to execute two mega oil refineries in the Amassoma of Bayelsa State and Burutu part of Delta State, both in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria.
These projects could not be executed because of the criminal activities of the Niger delta militants. These crime activities which included hostage taking, burning of petrol stations and vandalization of oil pipe line and youth restiveness in the Niger delta part of the country.
Furthermore, the government of the newly elected president of Nigeria, president Umaru Musa Yar'Adua who appointed me as the group managing director of Nigeria National Petroleum corporation, (NNPC) after tackling, settling the problem and above all bringing peace to the Niger delta part of the country, has directed me with the tax of executing these two projects initiated by the former president of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, before living office.
Finally, if you know that you will be competent enough to handle these contracts/projects of such magnitude, I wish to reconfirm the following information to me before we can proceed with the execution of the contract.
