"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Mr. Hidetoshi SuzukiTEL/FAX:- +81-366884539.Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG)Tokyo, Japan. My Dear,First I must solicit your confidence in this transaction; this is by virtue of its nature as being utterly confidential. Though I know that a transaction of this magnitude will make anyone apprehensive and probably worried but I am assuring you that all will be well at the end of the day with no risk to you whatsoever. We have decided to contact you due to the urgency of this transaction as we have been reliably informed of your discreetness and ability in a transaction of this nature. Let me start by introducing myself.I am Mr. Hidetoshi Suzuki, audit officer with Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group. I came to know of you in a next of kin search we made on our late client with some traces leading to you but without enough connection the official communication from Mitsubishi UFJ was cancelled. The proposition,a foreigner late Mr. John Dawson who until his death a few years ago was an oil merchant based in UK with major business interest in Japan.Until his death a few years ago by a tragic motor accident while on vacation in the South of France banked with us here at Mitsubishi UFJ and had a closing balance as at the end of September 2001 worth over US$36,630,380.00 (Thirty six million, six hundred and thirty thousand three hundred and eighty United States dollars).Mitsubishi UFJ now expects a next of kin to come forward as the legal beneficiary and heir to this fund and have made valuable effort to get intouch with any living kin but it has not been successful. It is because of this possibility of not being able to locate any of our late client's next of kin (he had no wife or kin known to us) and I have heard from the Chairman that contemplations are being made for the fund to be declared unclaimed and subsequently donated to a trust fund.In order to avert this situation some of my trusted colleagues and I, now seek your permission to have you stand as the next of kin so that the fund will be released and paid into your account as the legal beneficiary. All documentation and proof to enable you get this funds have already been careful worked out hence we can assure you the whole process is 100% risk free.As soon as we receive an acknowledgement or response from you on this message in acceptance of our mutual business proposal, we would furnish you with the necessary modalities and sharing ratio to fit both parties without conflict. If this proposal is acceptable to you and you promise not to take undue advantage of the trust we have bestowed in you.I await your response with your most confidential email address, telephone and fax number. E-mail:mrsuzuki_1@yahoo.com.hkThank you in advance for your anticipated co-operation.Yours truly,Mr. Hidetoshi SuzukiTEL/FAX:- +81-366884539.Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG)Tokyo, Japan.
