"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: URGENT FAMILY BUSINESS ASSISTANCE.

FROM: MRS. AUGUSTINA NZIKE
E-mail: familyofnzike@yahoo.com

ATTN: CEO/DIRECTOR,

I know that you will be surprised to receive this letter from me since you don't know me in person. For the purpose of introduction I am Mrs. Augustina Nzike, a mother of two children from Zimbabwe the only wife of late Mr. Joseph M. Nzike who was recently murdered in land dispute in Zimbabwe.

My late husband was among the few black Zimbabwean rich farmers murdered in cold blood by the agent of the ruling government of President Robert Mugabe for his alleged support and sympathy for Zimbabwe party. Before the death of my husband, he went to South Africa to deposit the sum of US$20,5M (Twenty Million Five Hundred Thousand United State Dollars) with one of the security company here in South Africa, as if he knew the looming danger in Zimbabwe.

From the documents which he left with us the money was deposited as a precious stone to avoid much demurrage from the security company firm. The money was earmarked for the purchase of new machinery and chemicals for the farms and the establishment of new farms in Lesotho and Swaziland. This Land problem arose when President Robert Mugabe introduced a new land act which wholly affects the white rich farmers and some few blacks vehemently condemned the "Modus operandi" adopted by the government.

This resulted to rampart killing and Mob actions. I and my two children are staying in here South Africa as an Asylum seeker; we have decided to transfer this money to a foreign country where we can invest it. I am faced with the dilemma of investing this amount of money in South Africa for fear of encountering the same experience in future since both countries have the same political policy/law that does not allow investment hence you are seeking for an asylum that means refugees. I must let you know that this business is 100% risk free and the nature of your business does not necessary matter.

Please if you are willing to assist us, I and my family have agreed to give you 25% of the total money, 70% will be for me and my family, the remaining 5% will be mapped out for any expenses, we might incur during the transaction priod. Therefore if you are willing and interested to render the needed assistance, endeavor to reply through my mail .I also need your private telephone and fax numbers for easy communication.
Remember that this is highly confidential and success of this business depends on how secret it is kept.

Expecting your reply soonest through the above E-mail address.Contact my son Johnson Nzike on his mobile number 0027-73-852-8257 for more clearification.

Thanks and God bless you.

Best regards,

Mrs. Augustina Nzike.
