Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

• The following phrases in this message should put you on alert:
  • "dear friend" (a common phrase found in 419 scams)
  • "a security company " (this will cost you money - be careful with upfront payments to anyone you only know through email, especially if they promise you a lot of money. Never ever send money by Western Union or MoneyGram to people you do not know personally. )
  • "million us dollars" (they want you to be blinded by the prospect of quick money, but the only money that ever changes hands in 419 scams is from you to the criminals)
  • "remain blessed" (scammers in West Africa like to use religious phrases)
• This email message is a "dying merchant" scam.
• This email lists free webmail addresses. Use of such addresses is typical for scams. Lotteries, banks and any but the smallest of companies do not normally use such addresses. Criminals use them to anonymously send and receive email at Internet cafes.

Now that my health has deteriorated so badly, I cannot do this my selfanymore. I once asked members of my family to close one of my accountsand distribute the money which I have there to charity organization andto the less privileged in Bulgaria and Pakistan , they refused and keptthe money to themselves.
Hence, I do not trust them anymore, as they seem not to be contendedwith what I have left for them. The last of my money which no one knowsof is the huge cash deposit of $24,000, 000.00 Million US Dollars(Twenty Four Million US Dollars) that I have with a Security Company inEurope for safe keeping.
I will want you to help me collect this deposit and disburse it to somecharity organizations and to the less privileged. send me a mail toindicate if you will assist me in this disbursement. I have set aside25%
