"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: GOOD DAY TO YOU SIR.

Rue Gourgas,
Villa N° 75 - 76
Abidjan-Plateau,
Ivory Coast
Good day.
I am Chief Dr. Thomas Fredrique, from Ivory Coast in West Africa.I have instructed my son to contact you for a possible investment assistance in your country. i couldn't write you by myself due to my critical illness , therefore I am using this chance to connect my only son with a foreign partner who will assist him to transfer the avaliable fund and invest it in a profitable business for his good future, and with this arrangement i will die a happy man knowing full well that my son will not mis-used all what i have laboured for years .
I have the amount of US$12.5 Million dollars ready for investment as soon as the fund is transfered out of Africa. I am a formal revenue director in the ministry in Ivory Coast, I will not be meeting with you because of my condition, therefore i will send my son along with instructions to Senegal where these funds are deposited in a Security and Finance Firm due to time to time problem and unstable government in Ivory Coast. There is also 32 Kilos of 22K gold dust which i will also dispose, and i will like you to find buyer to buy it, the price is negociable.
Meanwhile, based on my son's inexperience in business, i advised that you effectively use your experience and good will in business with the available investment fund for mutual benefits.
It will be good to have your direct and personal contact numbers for one on one discussion with my son as i am not allowed speak on the phone by the doctor. i will send my son to Senegal where these funds are deposited upon receipt of your willingness and acceptance to working with my son.
Thank you for your understanding and awaiting your reply soon.
Regards,
Jobe Thomas Fredrique
