"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Pls help me

My warmest greeting,
I am Mrs. Mami Mukinge the wife of late Chief Mukinge Mbenga who died in recent crisis in Bouké Cote d'Ivoire. I wish to request for your sincere assistance in investing this sum of Three million, Eight Hundred thousand United State Dollars USD ($3,800,000.00) in lucrative venture such as manufacturing or real estate management in your country.
This money was deposited not in the bank, but in the security company in one trunk box not as money but as personal effects. The security company does not know the real contact of the box up till date. I took this decision to contact because of my condition and for the facts that my husband relatives wants to size everything and throw me out of his inheritance. But as for this deposit, they do not know anything about it.
The reason why I need your assistance is that;
My late husband declared this box as personal effects belonging to his foreign partner. I have recently communicated with the security company to secure the release of the box but they told me that they can only release it to his foreign associate because that was what the agreement stated on the day of deposit. Please all I need is for you to stand as my husband foreign partner so that the security company will release the box to you and we will have the money invest wisely in your country. I have with me all the necessary information concerning the deposit and the secret code numbers of the box which I will give you latter as we proceed.

I will come and reside permanently in your country till such a time that it will be convenient for me to return back home if I so desire. This is because I have suffered a lot of set backs as a result of incessant political crisis here which cause the death of my husband and my children. This has brought sorrow to my life. I will be willing to give you 10% of the total fund for your assistance to me.
I wait for your sincere response.
Mrs. Mami Mukinge
