"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Goodday,

How are you today and business in your country?

I am contacting you concerning a deceased customer and an investment he placed under our banks management years ago. I would respectfully request that you keep the contents of this mail confidential and respect the integrity of the information you come by as a result of this mail.

I contacted you independently of our investigation and no one is informed of this communication. I would like to intimate you with certain facts that I believe would be of interest to you.

On November 6, 2001, a foreign consultant/contractor with the Chinese Solid Minerals Corporation, Made a numbered time (Fixed) Deposit for twelve calendar months, valued at US$18,500,000.00 (Eighteen Million Five Hundred Thousand United States Dollars) in my branch. Upon maturity, I sent a routine notification to his forwarding address but got no reply.

After a month, we sent a reminder and finally we discovered from his contract employers, the Chinese Solid Minerals Corporation that he died in the China Northern Air Plane crash that happened 7th may 2002 In Dalian, China http://www.1001crash.com/index-page-cdescript-accident-CNA_MD82-lg-2-year-ok.html#.

My proposal; I am prepared to place you in a position as the NEXT OF KIN of our late client, so that the deposit can be released to you as the closest surviving relative. Upon receipt of the deposit in an offshore account you are going to open, we will share the money 50% for me and 50% for you.

If you are interested please send me your full names and private phone number. So I can provide you with more details.
