"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Business Letter From Miss Sarah

Dear Beloved,

I have finally decided to contact you alone to associate with me in a life time business transaction that will keep us as one happy and fulfilled family. My name is Miss Sarah Werlin (18 years old) and standing for us is my late father Sir. Richard Werlin (52 years old). We are citizens of Republic of Cape Verde Islands.

My Father was a politician who fought for the freedom of the entire people of Cape Verde Islands from mal-administration of injustice, and political jeopardy existing in Cape Verde Islands my country. The good course of my father's freedom fighting necessitated his sudden death by assassination on February 2nd, 2006 by his political opponents. My mother died in August 16th, 2001, and I have no other siblings apart from me.

My contacting you is to seek for refuge in your country and to further my education, and if permitted to establish the rest of my life under your care. This can be achieved by our combined and sincere effort to get my late fathers’ U.S 18.500.000.00 dollars cancelled as consignment and deposited with Stanbic Security Company, Ghana, delivered to your name and country wherein I shall join you.

I am my fathers’ only child, and he uses me as his next of kin in all his transactions. I have the deposit certificate to the fund, but the security company maintains that my father deposited the fund on overseas business grounds. My contacting you is to stand as my late father’s overseas business associate with your age, and vast business experiences, and make the claims of the fund (consignment) a success. The security company is ready to deliver the consignment to you upon your applications as my late father’s overseas business associate, and with my recognitions of your application, and approval of your person.

We shall work with good assistance of an attorney to make the transaction easy and successful. This transaction does not call for the attention of my extended family relations. The tradition of my city forbids woman from having possession of there parents assets, and that is more reason I seek you as a foreign beneficiary. You can tell me your desired percentage share of the fund.

YOUR RULES IN THE TRANSACTION INCLUDE.

1. You will stand as my late parent’s business associates.
2. You will become the beneficiary of the fund
3. You shall receive the fund in your country and then invite me to come for sharing of the fund if possible continue the rest of my life under your care.
4. The percentage sharing of the fund shall be determined by the two of us considering the investment proceeds.

I wait to read from you. Thanks for your time and attention. Please contact me on this email address sarah.werlinll098@yahoo.com
Thanks you

Sarah Werlin.
