"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.

Subject: YOUR URGENT ASSISTANCE NEEDED---------FROM JAMES BRAIN.

Dear Friend,

I am Captain Brian James of the US Marine Corps. On Monitoring and Peace –keeping mission in Baghdad-Iraq. On the 3rd day of May 2007, we were alerted on the sudden presence of some Terrorists camping in a suburb not too far from Baquba here in Iraq .

We lied an ambush at Al Taqa (Babil) on May 12, at which one Iraqi soldier and 4 US 10th Mountain Division soldiers were killed; 3 soldiers of the US unit were captured. One was found dead in the Euphrates 11 days later. The other two were claimed to have been executed and buried in an ISI video release, after a 4,000-man manhunt by US and allied forces ended without success. No direct proof was given to us.

After Immediate intervention, we captured three (3) of the Terrorists; two (2) were killed leaving seven (7) injured. In the process of Interrogations they confessed being rebels for Abu Omar Al-Baghdadi and took us to a cave in Karbala , which served as their camp.
Here we recovered several guns, bombs and other Ammunitions including a Metallic Box to my amazement contain some US Dollars amounting to ($16.5M) Sixteen Million Five hundred thousand U.S.dollars. I and two of my junior intelligent officers was aware of the physical cash found in the box.

I however instructed them to keep this in high secrecy. Every arrangement to get the box containing this money moved out of Baghdad has been concluded by me. There is absolutely no risk involve. I am in keen need of a "Reliable and Trustworthy" person like you who would receive, secure and protect the Box containing the money for me up on till my assignment elapses in here in Iraq.

I assure and promise to give you 20% of this fund. I have concluded arrangement with the Red Cross Officer I met here in Iraq to get the Box moved out of Iraq to his destination in Ghana. All you have to do now is to send to me immediately your full contact details including your private cell phone number to enable me forward it to the Red Cross officer as the beneficiary of the box.

Remember there is will be no form of trace, therefore you have nothing to be afraid of. It is absolutely risk free. Please assure me that you will keep this a top most secret to protect my job with the US Monitoring and Peace-Keeping mission. For security reasons Contact me through my private email: Captain Brian James,
[jamesbrain15@yahoo.com] to enables me to send your contact to the red cross officer in Ghana as the beneficiary of the box. Note, the the Red Cross officer kept the box in a Safe Keepin Company in Ghana as he wait for me to give him the contact of the beneficiary.

This was how i intrusted him to do till i get the person who can assist me to keep this fund in his or her costody till i finish my assignment here in Iraq and meet the person up for the settlement.
Note, the Red Cross officer does not know the real contentt of the box because the box was registered with the US keeping force log as belonging.

If you are the lucky one, just reply me for more details.
regards,

James Brain.
