"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

A PASSIONATE APPEAL FOR HELP.

ATTN: MD/CEO:

Dear Sir/Madam,

My name is Mr. Kennedy Vusi, the son of late Mr. Jacob Vusi, a prominent farmer who was brutally murdered by the agents of Mr. Robert Mugabe, for opposing the seizures of white farm lands in Zimbabwe. In the process of receiving series of death threats from unknown people, he sensed dangers and sold off his farms and other landed properties, knowing that danger was looming. Before his death, he moved to South Africa the proceeds of the sales and deposited it in a private security company, under the instruction that we should seek for investors outside Southern Africa. He left the tune of US$20.5M {Twenty Million, Five Hundred Thousand United States Dollar} to be invested. My father’s membership of the Movement for Democratic Change {MDC} in Zimbabwe was his greatest crime, as the government of Mr. Robert Mugabe never liked opposition to his dictatorial regime. My mother and my two little sisters recently arrived in South Africa, after constant harassments from the notorious security operatives of the presi
dent who have visited our home interrogating my mother; then she was advised by my aged grandparents to leave Zimbabwe before she was killed as well. Gladly, she came with all relevant documents relating to the money in the security company, but sadly, my two little sisters’ education is suffering a setback, which is a serious concern to us. Indeed, we need an urgent help.

Kindly indicate your willingness if you feel capable to be part of this requested assistance, by responding without hesitation to the above phone and fax numbers. We will be obliged to discuss further with you on possible investment options you may suggest, and we shall consider them, thereby informing you that we agreed to give to you 25%, 5% for all expenses and 70% will be for our investments. All necessary legal processes will be followed to assure all parties a risk-free transaction. We dearly need an honest and God fearing person who will not take advantage of our situation in the end. The most recent government forced price-control on essential food items has caused the ordinary citizenry to massively leaving Zimbabwe to other Southern African neighbors as hunger and starvation have reached alarming proportions. Presently, the inflation rate in Zimbabwe is 6,600%, making it the highest in the world.

Please, do treat this letter with the deserved confidentiality, not forgetting to include your contact details while reaching me through the above phone and fax numbers. God bless you immensely.

Kennedy Vusi.
