"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: With Peace I come to you.

In peace I come to you.I am Amira Mohamed Haroun .I am a 25 years old Darfurian(Daju,Dar Fur),and the young and beautiful daughter of Dr.Adam Mohamed Haroun (porpularly known as Sheikh Gamea) of Sudan.I and my mother(Hajia Almas) were helped to come to Accra,Ghana by the Red Crescent after it was detected that the Janjaweed Rebels was on the lookout for rest of our family, the Haroun Family of Sudan. It was this same Janjaweed that murdered father and my elder brother Musa Yousif in cold blood. And we owe all gratitude to God and to the Red Crescent who assisted us to come to Ghana via Chad. We chose to come to Ghana because in 2006,We discovered that in 2003,father deposited a certain Fund(Totalled US$13.5 Million USDollars) into the Vault of a Prominent Bank here in Accra,Ghana. And we further discovered that father was killed by the Janjaweed Rebels on the basis of this Fund because he refused to disclose the whereabout of the fund to the Janjaweed who wanted to seize the fund from him for the purchase of arms.Until his death, our father was a chief gold and asbestos merchant in the Sudan,as well as a Religious Cleric and Leader, and this Fund represents a part of his wealth base.So to further ensure a 100% security and safety of the fund, father swore to an Oath at the High Court here in Accra,Ghana to the effect that this fund should be transferred to a legally-appointed Foreign Investor who will stand as the legal Beneficiary of the Fund. And I being the next-of-kin as stated by father in the Oath and in the Fund Deposit Documents,it falls on me to seek for the Trusted Investor who is to stand as the Legal Beneficiary of the Fund. This is why I am dedicatedly seeking for a Godly person that I can fully trust with this very delicate issue and a powerful position as that of the Beneficiary of this Fund. The few men I have considered within the past months are nothing but a bunch of gold-diggers whose intentions are not pure nor genuine. And kindly bear in mind that upon the completion of the transfer thereof, you MUST arrange for us to come to your country where we(myself and mama) intend to buy a living home. However,if you cannot deal with this issue on our behalf,do not bother to respond to this important mail.In peace I leave you.Amira Mohamed Haroun
