"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

ATTN: DIRECTOR/C.E.O

I do for see the surprise this letter will bring to you as it comes from a stranger, but be rest assured as it comes with the best of intention. However, your address was courtesy of a research I did in SOUTH AFRICAN CHAMBER OF COMMERCE & INDUSTRY, for the good recommendation of your company and I become aware and assured of you’re credibility of handling this trust and my future. Thus, after my humble decision to solicit your understanding and co-operation in this transaction, as it will be beneficial to all of us involved.

My name is MR CYRUS KABILA from the Democratic Republic of Congo, now residing in the Republic of South Africa (Johannesburg) due to the death of my father. I am the son of the second wife of late MR LAURENT KABILA, the former President of THE DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF CONGO (DRC). Whom his bodyguard killed some time ago. If you are conversant with the public issues you must have heard from the news in CNN. After the death of my father, my mother called me and narrated to me how she and my father deposited the sum of US$19,500,000.00 (NINETEEN MILLION FIVE HUNDRED THOUSAND UNITED STATES DOLLARS) with a private security company here in Johannesburg South Africa. She also showed me all the documents related to this deposited money as proof of deposit, which no other person or the first wife and her son which is now the President of (D.R.C.) knows about it. It is only my mother and my late father who knows about the money.

However , my aim of contacting you is to help me and my mother to take this sum of money into your nominated bank account in your country or any part of the world where the money will be saved. Secondly, you will also help us to invest this money profitably in your country. As a result of my present situation, being that I have not finished my studies, I won’t be able to conclude this transaction alone. If you are interested in helping us you try and contact me very urgently with the above telephone or e-mail me at cyrusbila2010@yahoo.com indicating your interest in helping us. Also include your private telephone and fax numbers for confidential communication. I will then furnish you with more details.
We agreed to offer you 20% of the total amount for helping us to move this money to a safe destination and the remaining 80% will be for my mother and me.

Be informed that this transaction needs utmost trust and confidentiality. Note also that the transaction attracts no risk on your side hence all the modalities for safe, smooth and successful transaction have been properly arranged.
Looking forward to receiving your urgent reply.

God bless you.

BEST REGARDS

MR CYRUS KABILA
