"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Mrs. Sombo Pujeh.

Attn: Sir. Firstly may I apologise for using this medium to establish communication with you.
My name is Mrs. Sombo Pujeh, I am the wife of Sierra-Leone former minister for energy and mineral resources who is currently held in detention as a result of political crisis. My husband deposited a consignment containing the sum of $18.3Million in a Security Company based in Accra-Ghana. I need your assistance to claim this funds from the Security Company for an investment program in your country for January 2008. I recently moved down to Ghana with my children due to the situation of things in Sierra-Leone, and I also want to use this opportunity to witness all proceedings to ensure that the claim process is perfectly arranged.

I have all the documents covering the funds right here with me, therefore if this transaction can be workable through you please get back to me with your plans. More information about me shall be provided upon your positive response to this message. Sincerely Yours,
Mrs. Sombo Pujeh.
