"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Mr Mohammed Abui

Dear,

My name is Mr Mohammed Abui 23 years old. I am the son of late Mr Razak Abui of Mende district in Sierra-Leone. My late father was one of the richest gold and diamond merchants during his life time. He also was among the key supporters and financers of the military group that rose against the government of the democratically elected president Ahmed Tejan Kabbah.
His efforts to raise a male child who will inherit his throne were in vain.Being a deep catholic believer made it impossible for him to take a second wife as it is against the doctrine of the religion. During his life time, my late father lodged the sum of US $10(ten million dollars) which was his own share of a gold and diamond deal he did with a Lebanese firm.
This money he disclosed to my mother will be inherited by his son who will inherit his throne. It is very sad that his dream of having a male child to inherit the throne and the money were never realized. As I type this message, tears are running down my cheeks, So when the military roseagainst the government of President elect Ahmed Tejan Kabbah, I will never forget that early morning when a group of armed men stormed our palace, set it on fire and took my father away.
We never saw or heard from him until after eleven days when a decomposing body of a headless man was found and identified as my father! My mother and I escaped out of Sierra-Leone. My mother fell sick and died of what described as heart failure.

She was buried 3 months ago. I have decided to migrate and transfer this fund to a stable country abroad for investments in real estate business or any viable venture.
It is due to this reason that I contact you to assist me make this dream a reality. You will also assist me to secure visas and make life comfortable for me. I am offering you a negotiable 30% of this fund for your assistance.

Waiting for your urgent reply.

Thank you

Mr Mohammed Abui
