"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

DR JOE MARTINS.
DIRECTOR AUDITING AND ACCOUNTING SECTION
ECOWAS REGIONAL INVESTMENT BANK PLC
LOME, REP OF TOGO.

Dear Herman Korenwinder ,

This message might meet you in utmost surprise, however,it's just my urgent need for foreign partner that made me to contact you for this transaction. I am a banker by profession from Lome Togo Rep in west Africa and currently holding the post of Director Auditing and Accounting unit of the bank.I have the opportunity of transfering the left over funds ($10.5million) of one of my bank clients who died along with his entire family On the 17 December of 2004 in a car accident outside the town of Saldanha along R27 route in the west of South Africa, a road which links Cape Town and Vredendal. You can confirm the genuiness of the deceased death by clicking on this web site

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/england/southern_counties/4106247.stm

Since then I have made several enquiries here to locate any of my clients extended relatives and this has also proved unsuccessful. After these several unsuccessful attempts, I decided to contact my sister in-law who work with Britsh Chamber of Commerce to search for any responsible forigner since the only surviving daughter of Jeremy monk Freya died as a result of her parents death, so that the proceed of my clients account can be paid to you before my client account would be declared unserviceable by the Bank because they have veritable excuses as they know that Mr Jeremy Monk was dead hence I contacted you.

Hence,i am inviting you for a business deal where this money can be shared between us in the ratio of 60/30 while 10% will be mapped out for expenses. If you agree to my business proposal.further details of the transfer will be forwarded to you as soon as i receive your return mail, Have a great day.

Yours,
DR JOE MARTINS.
