"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: RE: MY LAST EMAIL!!!

Dear friend, I am Osaro Ofure, 16 years of age. I am contacting you after my long search on the internet. I lost my parents On the 27th of January 2002 in the Ikeja bomb blast here in my country. Click on link below to view clips of incident:http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/africa/2718295.stmhttp://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/africa/2698081.stm But before the death of my father,Late Andrew Ofure he deposited the sum of $6.750 MILLION with a finance company. The finance company has refused to release the fund to me, with reason that until i am 19 years and above. I have no uncle or Aunty to claim this money for me. Only my fathers personal lawyer wants to claim this fund behind me but the finance company has refused and identified me as the next of kin and said they will only release the money to whoever I pick as the next of kin. I need someone who will be ready to help me to claim this fund and and invest it in a good business and who will be responsible for taking me out of Nigeria to further my studies either in the Uk or America until i am old enough to manage myself. I have the certificate of deposit with the finance company and the death certificate of my father to enable you claim this fund. Upon your willingness to assist me, I will give you more information to reach the finance company. For security reasons reply via my Private E-mail: osarofure12@yahoo.dk I await your prompt response. Yours sincerely Osaro Ofure
