"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Dear ,

I humbly write you this letter to ask for your assistance and trust to protect for me and my kid sister, our late parents joint savings which is with a security company since after the tragic death of our parents in Liberia before the fall of the Taylor government.

Our parents were brutally killed before our eyes and we were spared by the grace of God. I am 24 years and my kid sister is only 18 and we are living under the full gospel church ministry for now since our escape to Cote d’Ivoire, three months ago.

We travelled through bush paths and then by car later to enter this francophone country. I am a high school graduate and I want to be an engineer in future when I come down to your country with my sister. We have a heritage in a box with the euro express carrier, an English company here and this is all the fortune and deed our parents left for us worth 9.million usd.

My father was the former chairman of the Liberian Gold & Diamond Mines until his death. We fled our house and we do not intend to return now. We do not know you sir but God connected us to you and we ask you to consider our situation. You will manage the fund until we finish university and take active positions in the companies we shall both form and manage together. We have sincere mind and trust for you. We shall send you the original copy of the certificate of deposit as proof of the consignment. Please help us. I have a phone you can reach me at +22508560232.

Thank you in advance.

James Kosseh T.
