"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.

Subject: RE: From Engr. Emmanuel Annan,

Dearest Reputable,

Permit me to introduce myself to you as an Engr. Emmanuel E. Annan, a Ghanaian born in Breman Asikuma in the Central Region of Ghana in 1980. I am the Son of late Dr. George Effah Annan who was a good politician and a well known philanthropist here in my country before his untimely death occurred. I am writing to seek your highly esteemed consent in a legal and lasting business relationship that will benefit both of us.

My primary reason of contacting you today is to inform you about my intention of investing the sum of US$23.5M U.S Dollars on Stocks, Real Estates or any good business ventures that will be profitable in your Country under a joint partnership. For your truthful assistance, you would be entitled to 10% of the total sum upfront and 35% of every profit generated from the investment after investing the fund. My contacting you today is also based on the instruction of my late Father that the fund should be invested outside the country for safety and profitability. Be informed that all the necessary legal documents that are required to move the fund to your country without having any problem with your Government is already in possession. And also be informed that you are not required to make any upfront payment in this transaction.

All you need to do is to travel down to Accra the capital city of Ghana to meet me in person and have a meeting with me and my late Father's Attorney in his office regarding the proceeding of this project. After our meeting, He shall reach a solid Trust Investment Agreement between us that will protect this project which both of us shall sign and he will endorse it at the High Court of Justice here. Upon the completion of the Trust Agreement, we all shall then proceed to the Financial Institution where the fund is deposited by my late Father to sign the immediate release/transfer documents as stated by the guidelines of the Institution after which I shall travel back with you for the investment. Inviting you to Accra Ghana as stated, is because there is no other alternative means of handling the business without your physical presence here.

Therefore, endeavor to make immediate two days travel arrangement to this place, the Lawyer is prepared to help as part of your traveling arrangements, to issue you either an invitation letter to enable you secure your visa from Ghana High Commission in your country or to issue you a "Cable Visa" which will take him two days to secure from the Immigration Service here, to enable you buy your air-ticket to Accra. If you accept to work with me in this regard, kindly reply back including your direct telephone number or call me directly on: (+233 276337404) to enable me details you on the way forward. I express my sincere appreciation, while awaiting your urgent response/call.

Yours truly,

Engr. Emmanuel E. Annan,
14 Bishops Court, Adisadel, P.O. Box
