"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: VERY URGENT!!!

Attn: Sir/Madam,

I am Gunawan Hadi, an external security auditor
of
HALIFAX SECURITY STORAGE PTY. It happened that I got
this secret from
a friend of mine who is among the
Immigration and Customs Enforcement
Agents (ICEA) in
IRAQ .

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/2988455.

Two US soldiers from
the 3rd Infantry Division
deposited a box on behalf of unknown personnel
with
our company in Iraq during the war but were dead on
duty. Since
this deposit was not made on their name
and the real depositor was no
where to be found and
suspected dead, I wish to solicit your partnership
to
come forward for this claim. This consignment contains
($32.5
millions dollars) Thirty-Two million Five
Hundred Thousand United State
Dollars.

I secured the information of the consignment from the
jacket
file now I have used my VETO POWER to move it
to our branch Security
Company in Jakarta Indonesia
which I did not let them know about the
contents in
the box, so it was deposited as family treasures
for
security reasons but i can not be able to lay hands on
the
consignment as a staff of the company.

If you are trustworthy and
reliable I will allow you
to communicate with the security company
direct upon
the receipt of your reply also include your full name
and
phone number in order to know what step to take
and to give you the
details of the transaction.

I am ready to go 50/50 with you and will
give you all
necessary information to come forward for the claiming
of
this consignment

Thanks,

Yours sincerely,
Gunawan Hadi
