"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

From Mr. John Motula
Abidjan Cote d’Ivoire

Private and confidential.

Dear Friend:

My name is Mr. John Motula, the Son of late Mr. Peter Motula of Zimbabwe.
This might be a surprise to you about how I got your contact address. I got your contact through Network on line in my search for a reliable and reputable person to handle a very confidential transaction which involves a transfer of fund to a foreign account and I decided to write you.

During the current war against the rich white farmers in Zimbabwe, from the supports of our President Robert Mugabe to claim all the white owned farms to his own party members and his followers, he ordered all the white farmers in Zimbabwe to surrender all their farms to his party members and his followers.

My late Father was one of the richest farmers in my country Zimbabwe he was gruesomely murdered because of the colour of his skin ( White ) irrespective that my mother is a black, just because he did not support Mugabe's idea, Mugabe's supporters invaded my father’s farm and burnt everything in the farmland, killing my Father and made away with all the things in my Father's farm.

Before his death, my late Father had deposited with one of the security company’s in Abidjan Cote d’Ivoire, the sum of $US20 Million (Twenty Million United States Dollars). Then after the death of my Father, my Mother Mrs. Mary Motula and I decided to move to Cote d’Ivoire where my Father had deposited the money.

So I decided to contact an overseas partner that will assist me and my Mother to move this money out of Cote d’Ivoire because as an asylum seeker in Cote d’Ivoire, I cannot operate any account at this point we became helpless, I pray that you shall have a place in your heart to assist us in the name of God. We have agreed to offer you 25% of the total sum for your assistance, 5% have been mapped out for expenses, and 70% for my family.

So please, if you think you can be of any assistance to me and my family, kindly furnish me with your Full name, residential address and phone numbers for easier communication.

And please I and my Family will like to know you more.

Please get back to me for more information and clarification.

Best Regards
Thanks and God bless you.
From Mr John Motula.
(For the family.)

Be thou my strong habitation,
whereunto I may continually resort:
thou hast given commandment to
save me; for thou art my rock and
my fortress.
Deliver me, O my God, out of the
hand of the wicked, out of the hand of
the unrighteous and cruel man.
Psalm 71:3-4
