Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

I am the above named, a senior executive officer, Heading- International Remittance & Electronic Banking Department; on my routine inspection I discovered an inheritance titled to late Mr. Morris Thompson. His inheritance is willed to his daughter who also lost her life in that fatal incident. The funds are due to be declared unclaimed as the law stipulates and the account confisticated if not claimed within the next week by any member of the family since all effort to locate any distance family member has not been successful.
Based on this fact, I am proposing to make a deal with you to redirect this money into a save account oversea with your assistance as a foreigner. Please note that all necessary arrangement for this deal will be discussed in details when I receive your response.
For your information, your share will be 30% out of the total of sixteen million pounds after the transaction has been successfully concluded. Note: As soon as you receive this mail you should contact me with this email for safety purpose.
