"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Dear Friend,
I have been waiting for you since to contact me for your
Bank Draft of $950,000.00 (Nine Hndred and Fifty Thousand United States
Dollars) which my boss kept for your compensation, but I did not hear
from you since for a couple of weeks now. Then I went to deposite your
bank draft with the TNT EXPRESS COURIER here to avoid loosing this funds
because I will be out of the country for a 6 Months Course and I will
not come back till later in the year.
What you have to do now is to
contact the TNT EXPRESS COURIER as soon as ossible to know when they
will deliver your bank draft to you because of the expiring date. For
your information, I have paid for the delivering Charge and Insurance
premium.
The only money you will send to the TNT EXPRESS COURIER to
deliver your parcel direct to your home Address in your country is
($128.00 US) One Hundred & twenty Eight United States Dollars only being
Security Keeping Fee of the Courier Company so far.Again, don\'t be
deceived by anybody to pay any other money except $128.00 US Dollars. I
would have paid that but because they don\'t know when you will contact
them and in case of dumorrage.
