"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Dear Sir, Email from Sharon

Dear Sir,

I write to contact you on my Nine consignment BOXES which i have succeeded in securing from Stanbic Security Company Ghana, Benin Republic where my late parents, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Lomogan deposited them before there sudden death on 25TH DECEMBER 2003 on Plane crash in Cotonou Benin Republic click-(www.cnn.com/2003/WORLD/africa/12/26/benin.crash).
The Nine well concealed consignments are currently under the care of Delta Airlines Cargo waiting delivery to you as by associate. My reasons for choosing you are as follows. To receive the consignments and map out investment measures for them while i further my education in your country. Due to the death of my parents on the sad December 2003, i was not able to further my education. My mean focus is my education which i want to continue in your good country. The contents of the boxes are $54.764. MILLION U.S on six boxes. This fund is realized from my father's two oil block services in Sudan. Other three Boxes contain Gold Bars.
I did not disclose the contents to Delta Airlines Cargo. The security company where i secured the consignments concealed the consignments very well and nobody can open them without the safety keys. The Delta Airline Cargo has accepted the consignments and assured me that they will deliver the consignments to your home or office when we agree to associate. I do need you to secure the consignments until i come over to you. I don’t want to stay here any more. I do not have security and trusted relative here anymore. They keys to the consignments are with me. I will send you the keys to open the consignments as soon as you come in terms with me while Delta Airlines Cargo deliver the consignments to you. Without the keys, no one can open the secured boxes. Your percentage of the fund is 45. %. Thanks for your anticipation. I hope to read from you urgently.
Thanks for your cooperation.
SHARON LOMOGAN
