"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Attention: Dear friend,

It is obvious that we have not met each
other before. But to be sincere with you, I got your name and contact
via the Internet while I was insearch for a reliable Foreigner, who can
assit me over this developement.

My Name is Davids Marks, I am from
Africa and Nigeria to be precise. I am writing you this mail, because I
am a neglected person here in Nigeria. I stay with my old school friend
here in Nigeria and he works in the Central Bank of Nigeria. But despite
the fact that he works in a Central Bank, he treats me so bad that
sometimes I don\'t even get to eat for a whole day.

There is a saying
that goes like this; \"Every day is for the thief and one day is for the
owner\". My luck for life just arrived yesterday when I overheard my
friend and the Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria discussing about loss
in their contract payment files. What really happen is that, their
headquarters which is having the information to foreign contractors
payment had a serious fire outbreak resulting in so many deaths and loss
of lives.

My dear friend, why I am writing you this now is because I
wouldn\'t want this 2008 to pass me by without me having anything to
care for my family in the village. All I want you to do now is to
forward a form which I will give you in my next mail directly to the
bank. After you have filled the form and sent to the bank processing
department, you will be told to hold on for verification, after which
they will give you notification letter on the fund transfer to your
choice bank account.

The amount is question is the sum of
US$67,510,000.00 dollars(Sixty Seven Million, Five Hundred and Ten
Thousand United States Dollars). I want you to know that this
transaction is easy and safe. Once I hear from you I will give you a
form, which I have gotten from my friends drawer then you will fill the
form and I will give you the email address of the Central Bank of
Nigeria Contract payment Department, for the process of the above sum in
your name as the original Contractor. There is no file to detect if you
are the original contractor as all the payment files were burnt by fire
during the fire incident. We have a very good chance to put the letter
of claim for the fund and we shall sail through, God being our helper.

We shall split the fund 50% for each person on completion of the
project. And my friend is out of the country now for 6 Months course,
and this is a very good opportunity for us to achieve this great dream.

I will be hopping to hear from you soonest. Thanks for your
understanding. I look forward to your urgent response to my personal
EMAIL:(mrdavids_marks@yahoo.fr) To procced.

Best regards.
Mr.Davids
Marks,
