"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

RUE DES ATOUBA,

ABIDJAN COTE D’IVOIRE.

Dearest One

I am Miss Gladys Yapo I saw your profile and that was why I decided to write to you. I was in the High School in Ghana studying Mass Communication, before the demise of my father.

My father LATE ROBERT YAPO was a Cocoa Merchant here in Cote d'Ivoire before his sudden death.

I have been a pet to my parents and they took good care of me as the only child of the family. Things were moving fine for us until the sudden death of my Father in a private hospital. But two days to his death, he called me privately in the hospital and gave me some documents, he told me that he deposited 8 million USD in a Bank in Abidjan.

This he was telling me knowing that he would not recover from the illness. That I should find a honest person from another country to assist me receive this money to his/her account in the person's country for me to invest and continue life. Finally he said that this the only treasure he kept because the hospital bill took everything.

The doctor finally told us that he died of a food Poison. The news o my father’s death caused a heart attack to my Mother and she died. After the burial of my both parents, it was now discovered that it was my uncle who poisoned my father in other to take over his vast properties.

So I decided to seek asylum at the refugee camp in Abidjan when there was a heavy crisis here. I am still now in the refugee camp looking for a honest person that will assist me in receive this money into his bank account in his country and, hen send some money to me to come over and continue my education.

Please your assistance will be highly appreciated as I do not have any other person to turn to now.

I have told no body about this until I saw your profile and something in me touches me to tell you hoping that you assist me and take care of me. And I believe that you will assist me. I will give you 25% of the total money for your kind assistance, because I want this money to leave here due to some political crisis going on now and my telephone number.

Please contact me

I will be waiting to hear from you soonest.

Thanks.

GLADYS YAPO
