"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: URGENT MESSAGE FROM VERONICA

My Dearest One!
Greetings to you, I hope this mail will find you well & healthy and I hope we can established a relationship since we are meeting here for the first time, I have gone through a profile that speaks good of you I was impressed when i saw your profile on the google profile search and decided to communicate with you. It is my desire to know you, I like honesty, trust, love, caring, truth,& respectul man, Thanks for the opportunity you have given me to write you again. I will realy like to have a good relationship with you. I appologize for deviating from expressing love at this early to border you with a standing problem of mine. I have no alternative than share what is disturbing me with you. Infact I have a special reason why i decided to contact you. Though it is not left for me to say, but I know that I am an open minded, intelligent girl.
I decided to contact you after reading your profile because of the urgency of my situation here. My Name is Miss. Veronica Nuhan Vaye 25years old and from Liberia, in the western part of Africa, My late Father -Issac Nuhan Vaye, was the Deputy Minister of Public Works in Charles Taylor's government. He was falsely accused of plotting to remove the then (PRESIDENT OF LIBERIA- CHARLES TAYLOR) from office. Without trial,Charles Taylor killed him. Though, I do not know to what extent you are familiar with events and fragile political situation in Liberia as at that time. But it formed consistent headlines in the CNN, BBCnews bulletins. You can read some of these urgly incidence from some of the international newspapers posted in the web sites below:

I am constrained to contact you because of the maltreatment we are receiving from my step mother. My Father had two wives before his death. My mother was the second ,the first one couldn't raise him an issue after nine years of their marriage that emerged in him the idea of getting a secong wife that happened to be my late mother. After the marriage of my mother, the first wife turned hostile and aggressive till the extent that my father had to sent her packing and rented an appartment for her in the town. She came back with her things after the news of our parents death. She has been more or less hostile to me and my brother and want to deny us of all our father's assets. we are just like being in a wicked circle that nothing in the house pleases us any more. Meanwhile, we wanted to escape to Europe but she hide away all our international passport and other valuable travelling documents. Luckily she did not discover where I kept my father’s File which contains important
documents. So we decided to run to the refugee camp in Bamako, the capital of Mali where we are staying presently. Mali is a neigbouring West-African country to Liberia. we are presently seeking asylum under the United Nations High Commission for the Refugee here in Bamako, Republic of Mali
Due to our inability and lack of resources ,I decided to contact you for a help please ,I will be very glad if you should consider to help us please. I am contacting you for a long term business relationship and investment assistance in your Country. our father of blessed memory deposited the sum of US$8, 700, 000.00 in a Security company . we went to the Security Company where our father deposited the money with the deposit certificate that i found in my father's file so that we can withdraw some money and start a new life. unfortunately, we did not know that my father signed an agreement with the Security Company that the fund should not be released directly to me if not married or upto 35years. The agreement states that I should appoint a trustee/investor any time we want to take the deposit from the Security Company until i am 35 years. i also found out that my father deposited this fund in form of family valuables, the Security Company people advised me that
since I am not yet 35 years and and my brother cannot be able to handle the money right now and i am not married, I should look for someone to stand for me for claims in accordance with their agreement with my late father. This is why I contacted you. Secondly,we will like to relocate to a better environment other than here and we want to live there and continue our education as i was still preparing to enter into the university, when the crisis started and death of our parents.
Our sharing percentage should be discussed as we proceed. This is the reason why I decided to contact you. Please all communications should be through this email address only for confidential purposes. As soon as I receive your positive response showing your interest I will give you the necessary information. In the light of the above, I shall appreciate an urgent message indicating your ability and willingness to help me and my brother with this transaction sincerely.

Awaiting your urgent and positive response. Please do keep this only to yourself. Please I beg you not to disclose these details till we have a very posetive result, i will send to you my photo later. Please i always need your advice becouse we are not esperienced to these monetory issues.we would have searched for some body that can help us in this regards here in Mali but i am so afraid that it might not work out fine and our life will be in danger also. i am waiting to hear from you soon.

Yours Sincerely,
