"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

I know this mail may come to you as a surprise, since we have not known or written before but i pray to allmighty God let this letter meet you in a happy mood. i am Mrs.Celine Johnson, but i beg you with the name of allmighty God to forgive me for writting you without your permission , but on behalf of myself and my only child mr. Johnson Jr i am contacting you to assist us to transfer the fund which my late husband deposited in a bank here before his untimely death , i am a widow a nationality I'voirians my late husband mr. Johnson was a femous politican and successful business-man whom before he was poised during his political party meeting in septmber 2005 was cocoa, gold and diamond merchant based here in Abidjan,Cote d'Ivoire before he died under mistrious poisenious sickness in a private hospital here in Abidjan.
He called me and my only child salem Jr of 11years old son and told me that he deposited a sum of( $18,000000 usd.) eighteen million usd dollars in a bank here in Abidjan which he used my name as next of kin , he also told me to take care of myself and our only child and also make sure I give him starderd and quality education beacause of tomorrow but after the death of my husband in our family there have been a lot of problems all over the family on who will control his wealth between my late husband brothers
Infact there has been political and family enemy against me and my son , and i have heard from a reliable source that they are planning on how to retrieve the documents conerning the funds from me and moreso treating of my life and strange movements around me and my son has made me to deceide to transfer the funds overseas for continution of my only son education who is still in secondary school,i want to leave my contry cote i'voire and come to your country with my son and live ,so that he will continue his studies, while i invest in your country.
Because our life is no longer safe please help a us God will help you back. before contacting you i have spoken with the local bank manager on how to worked out modalities, on how the fund can be transfer to your country.
Please, i humbly seek your assistance in the follwing ways;
1- to assist me finacially transfer this fund quietly into your account beacause for now , i am left with nothing
2- to serve as the guardian of this fund since i am a new person in your country and my son is still in the secondary school
3- to make arrangement for me and my son to come over to your country and further his education and help us secure a residential permit in your country. Moreover, i am willing to offer you 20% out of the total fund as conpensation for your efforts/input after the successful transfer of the fund into your nominated account overseas, while some 5% will be set aside to offset any expencis we may incur.
N\B: please i am waiting for your urgent reply, to give you contact and information of the bank,and how the transfer could carried out.
