"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Bussiness investment

Dear Sir,

I crave your indulgence in reading through my message. I am Mr. Samuel Nguma from Zimbabwe. I got your e-mail during one of my numerous searches for a reliable person to lead me in investing some huge amount of money with me in a flourishing business. I decided to contact you for this proposal while believing it will be of great benefit to both of us.

To enlighten you on this, I am a novice having no prior knowledge of business but will like to invest in your already existing company/firm. I will be investing Eight Million Five Hundred Thousand dollars ($8.5M dollars) which is an inheritance from my late father. My father was a political activist who was killed while fighting to liberate my people from a tyrant leader.

If you are interested in this proposal, kindly reply soonest to enable me give you a detailed explanation of how we are to proceed. I need your mutual co-operation and understanding while we work out plans on how the funds will be secured into an account over there in your name. Upon acceptance, we will be meeting in Bangkok Thailand for a formal meeting for us to

outline plans and avenues through which we are to follow while you see the fund and know exactly what I am talking about. As I sought to go through you in investing this money, I wish to inform you that I am

currently in Thailand where I am seeking refuge in asylum camp. I will be relying on you in investing the fund in a flourishing and lucrative investment especially in a private sector. I look forward to your kind and positive response.

Sincerely yours
Mr. Samuel Nguma
